I reported 550 pounds of tongue weight on my 2720SL. This always seemed a little heavy to me, and I was weighing it at the landfill in my town, where they routinely weigh trash trucks that must run 50,000 pounds. So it is reasonable to think that there might be an error of 50 pounds or so. On the other hand, they also weigh smaller trucks from little local trash removing companies, so this scale is certified by the state, so the reported weight isn't very far off.

Tuscany, thanks for the thumbnail! I just tried out the "bathroom scale" method and found that the tongue weight on my 2720SL must weigh 492 lbs...I weighed it closed on a level garage floor and had no water on board. sounds like it is in the ballpark!

You didn't mention if you have a swing hitch...some WDH setups will not work with this setup. You have to find a WDH which fits...your dealer may be able to help you.

Benny,

I have a 2720SL (no swing tongue), and I use an 800 lb round bar WDH from CampingWorld. Made by Robin Industries, and was $200+tax (which is still what it sells for). One of the least expensive I could find.

There are no locations in the great state of Alaska (which means no sales tax), and it looks like shipping is $45. And if you search online, you'll also be able to find a coupon code for their website.

Cheers,
Dave
