As far as the AC goes the question is what is their whole sale price?
I'd offer them $500 and see what they say. Also sounds to me like they are doing ok, so at some point you can offer to get your deposit back and keep looking. They like most dealers probably have a decent mark up in the unit and thus the issue becomes how much profit are they making? I respectfully disagree with others here and think you should stall abit and see if they move in your direction. Smile, be polite but you have to look out for your interest just like they are looking out for theirs- and they do this for a living.
Good luck.

thanks for your replies. i will be going back to the dealership tomorrow with a $12,000 cashiers check and $1500 in cash. have decided to offer less, but will be willing to pay $800 for a/c unit. never hurts to offer less, the worse thing they can say is "no".

thanks again for the help

Good luck. I'm sure it will all work out well. At some point, you just want to stop searching for a TM and move on towards the great outdoors and camping in your new to you TM.

well we are pretty excited about today's events. brought our 2720 home this evening. opened it up in the side yard and planning on sleeping in it tonight.

they wanted $800 for the a/c unit, i offered $400 and we settled on $600. everybody went home happy today.

Congrats on sticking to your plan and getting the deal you were looking for. Now you can start enjoying the new truck and TM.

Be sure to become a site sponser, it will be the best $12 you'll spend on your TM, especially if you want to do any modifications. The forum members here have a wealth of knowledge and experience that you will want to tap into.
