Default Used 2005 3124KS Owner

I have been looking for a while. I stumbled accross a nice used 2005 3124KS a dealer had yesterday. My wife wanted a 2720SL, but the 3124KS is basically a larger version of that trailer, so she was happy. My tow vehicle will tow anything TrailManor makes, so we were a go there. I made a low offer yesterday evening and figured we would do the offer, counter offer dance. Their return offer was about what I hoped to buy it for, so I put a deposit on it. Loan is approved and I plan on picking it up next week. I guess you can say we are TrailManor owners now. My wife can not get off to go with me to pick it up, so I can hardly wait until we get to take our first trip in it. I guess I better join the forum to get access to all those modfications I see mentioned.

Welcome. Now go to the TrailManor site (www.trailmanor.com) and click on the TrailBlazers button and find out where other TrailManor owners are meeting for rallies.
There is also a downloadable form for joining the TrailManor TrailBlazers. The cost is miminal and you'll enjoy getting to know other owners. One of the big events at every rally is talking about how we've customized our trailers and what problems we've had and how we fixed them.

Default Couple Minor Problems

Well I got the new unit home last week and just finished up fixing some minor problems.

1. The dealer left the keys for the TM in the sink when we closed it and they were no where to be found when I got home. Locksmith created a both keys for me. The first and three additional copies of each key was only $14.

2. The roof antenna had a drip. Thanks Bill for posting the link for the repair PDF. The small O-ring was missing on the elevation shaft asm.

3. It looks like somebody tried to close the slider while the leather piece was still attached. It pulled the leather piece from the between the wall and wood piece. I was able to put it back and it pretty good, but I will eventually order a new one from the factory.

We are going to take it out next weekend somewhere close to home for a shake down camping trip.

Thumbs up How could you be so lucky?

Congrats. you made the right choice. I started with the 2702SD & loved it. We just moved up to a new 3124KS, what a great trailer.
Keep in touch with this forum and you will be very satisfied with your TM.

Good Luck.............

Jack

Doug and others. If you ever find yourself without keys to the storage areas, just borrow someone else's key. It doesn't matter which brand or Rv. Many keys are duplicate to those used by many Rvs.

Although this is true, I've not found that to be very useful when locked out of my trailer. A couple of years ago I had parked my unit at a campground for the month of October. Drove up late one night only to discover NO KEYS! Campground owners were up (and of course by now, friends as well). They had literally over 100 RV keys on a ring just for emergencies like this one. Guess what? no matches. Owners were gracious enough to put me up for the night so that I didn't have to make the 3+ hour drive back home.

Sooooo maybe you'll get lucky, maybe not.

I have a set on my TV keyring. I will give a set to my wife. If all else fails, I will also keep an extra set in the glovebox of my TV.
