Pull out Couch Comfort

Has anyone found a good solution for improving the comfort of the pull out bed on the 3124kb?

My kids are getting to the point where they actually care!

I'm referring to the issue where the back half (which is the backrest of the couch) is much lower than the front half (the seat of the couch).

We use one inch of memory foam to level out the sleeping area a bit. Seemed to be the quckest solution short of rebuilding it.
