Clearance over bed
How much clearance is there over the rear bed when the coach is closed ? Couple of inches ?

At least in my model, I think the ceiling lights can even contact the bed. For this reason, there is a safety switch in the bathroom wall to prevent the back shell lights from being on when the trailer is folded down.

Yup, it's tight. Like WB says, the ceiling lights are pretty much right against the bed when you close it. You can't leave much on the bed on mine.

If your thinking of leaving blankets and such on the beds, you may get away with it if its the original mattress. If your looking to add on top of what mattress you have, it won't close easily. I have an old futon mattress that folds up and I takeit off and leave it in the open floor in front of the fridge/door space.

Matteress pad will probably be fine, but not much more. We use a 2 inch memory foam topper, which stores on the dinette floor when traveling.

There is a slight arch. Along the side with out any bedding and factor mattress there is maybe 2 inches where the rear bunk light is. In the center there is about 3 additional inches.

Might rub a spot on the ceiling. I have one where the roof is over the stove when it's closed. I think the first owner closed up with the grill still hot.

We put our step and a towel rack in the bath tub when traveling.
