Default Stone Guard

When we were out over the weekend I noticed that both stone guards have small cracks coming from the pop rivets on the ends. Anyone have a solution before it gets worse?

I have a crack in 1 of my stone guards, also. I drilled a hole (1/8th inch or a little bigger) right at the end of the tear (making sure that the end of the tear is completely eliminated). This tends to keep the tear from spreading any further by taking the stress out of it. The tear in my stone guard has not spread since I did this about a year ago. This method has worked for me previously with sheet metals and plastics.
