Tawas Point State Park, Michigan

Wondering if anyone has every stayed at this park and what is it like?

We didn't stay at the park but drove thru and went to the lighthouse. The lighthouse tour is only two dollars and the view from the top is fantastic! The park looked nice but not very dog friendly (I spoke to one of the DNR workers there). The dogs can only be in the campground or on paved walking trails and there are no beach sites. We stayed at Harrisville State Park about 30 miles north. Great park with beach front sites and a dog run area that leads to the beach.
