Default Additional Curtains/Dividers in 2619

Hi,
After a year of ownership and more than 60 nights in our TM we are more delighted than ever with the unit but we have a couple of questions for the group:

1) I'm sure someone has added a curtain across the cabin to keep the A/C from freezing out the person sleeping on the sofa/dining room table. We are currently using a table cloth (lightweight and stops drafts well) held up with velcro to the ceiling, but that is less than ideal. Any better suggestions?

2) I'm also sure some enterprising souls have developed a more secure privacy divider for the back bedroom. I'm thinking about a piece of 1/4" plywood sliding on a top and bottom track, hung from the bathroom back wall or from the closet back wall. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

For a privacy divider for the back bedroom, check out post #12 of this thread:

Very creative.

Are you trying to block sound or sight?

When my brother in law goes with us, he sleeps on the front bunk.

Because he is legally blind, he can't see much of what is going on in the back.

Because I snore, he sleeps with ear plugs, so he can not hear anything that is going on.

Because I am very good at stabilizing the trailer frame, there is no motion when some one rolls over.

The plywood would perhaps be better at blocking sound than the curtain. A curtain is adequate for blocking sight.

When the kids (25 and 27) are with us, they sleep in their own tents but change clothes in our trailer. So the TM becomes a large changing room for one, because everyone else is outside.

I thought about the floor to ceiling curtain mentioned earlier to create a changing area and decided it was too much work for a non problem for us. Looked good though. Sometimes we just stand behind the open bathroom door. That is enough.

Hello,

Thanks for the suggestions! The curtain Dave pointed out is a refinement of our shower curtain attempt to protect the middle sleeper from the A/C draft. We might copy that one now that I know the parts are readily available.

Are you trying to block sound or sight?
Wayne, the plywood privacy door to the back bedroom is intended for, ahem, privacy. Our kids are young enough to open a curtain at any time.

Until the kids are old enough to sleep in a tent outside, around age 10, I get the point.
