Default Our new to us 2005 2720 TM

We finally got our 2720 TM! A 2005 2720. Looking forward to many years of use. Our TM is a 1 owner unit. Its in really great shape. We are heading out on our first camping adventure the first weekend in May. So excited! I have a couple things to address first. 1, the break away control cable has broken and as soon as i plugged the 7 pin connector to my hitch, the trailer brakes locked up. I had to manually push the switch in with a pen. I stuffed a piece of plastic into the hole and covered it with some tape and the brakes released and I towed it home. I'll replace that. Im changing to 2 6v gc batteries as soon as i find a box that will fit on the tongue and hold the 2 gc batts. Then, we're off!

I see you are a trial member. This forum is the only forum I actually pay for, and it's been worth every penny every year. You will find that after the trial period, you will no longer have access to some of the more technical sections. Peruse the site and see what it's like before your trial expires!

Thank you Larry. Is there to see than just the forums? I plan to sign up and be a member. I signed up as guest because I wasn't sure if the owner of the TM would accept our offer. But I needed to know more about it before we decided to actually make an offer. We wanted to know what we were actually getting into.

Larry,
My question was, is there more to see than just all the different forums?

Bill knows this answer better than I, but I that that whatever you can see for the first month is what you would see as a full member. After your trial membership expires, you won't be able to view some of the technical forums and such.

Larry is right. At the moment, as a Trial Member, you can see everything - 14 sub-forums under TM TECHNICAL DISCUSSIONS, as well as our TM Technical Library TM INFO YOU WON'T FIND ANYWHERE ELSE, and quite a number of other discussions. At the end of 30 days, most of this will disappear, especially the Technical Discussion section, if you decide not to become a Sponsor.

This forum is the best $12 I've invested on a $$$$$$$$ purchase,
If these guys don,t know the answer to any questions you may have, nobody will.

This battery box will hold 2 GC batteries in tandem. If a frame is in place, this should bolt to it. https://allbatterysalesandservice.co...atteries-gce-g. Hope it helps!

Bill, I've just been searching up information about the battery because I think I destroyed another battery in my TM, and I'm just reading this subthread about batteries here.

You have a very good and thorough discussion about batteries here:
https://www.trailmanorowners.com/for...ead.php?t=6051

And, buried in the forums I came across a battery protector Victron BP-65 (post #31):
https://www.trailmanorowners.com/for...t=19102&page=4

Bill, I think a brief recommendation for battery protectors in your thread may be of value. In our trailers, battery maintenance can be difficult because our trailers collapse in such a way that it is not possible to even test the battery.

If we are disciplined like you Bill, we'd all remove the battery for the winter, store it in a cool but not freezing place, and make sure it remains charged. I, on the other hand, am not disciplined, and have left 2 batteries so far to die a slow death in my trailer each winter. I suspect I'm not alone in this.

To demonstrate how undisciplined I am, I must note that Padgett told me to get one 2 years ago!
