Radio installation
I have a question. My wife and I decided to purchase a stereo for our 3023. I knew from touring the factory that all of the wiring was bundled right above the refrigerator. Well, I removed the little cover where the stereo is to be mounted and found the wires. This is where I feel kinda silly. I found the speaker wires, the ground wire and the antenna. Where is the wire for the power? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It should be right in there with everything else, though it may have come out of the bundle. It should have a wire nut covering the end. I don't recall whether the wire is red or blue, but if you rummage around enough, you should find it. If all else fails, go outside, remove the louvered panel over the back of the refrig, and look around inside - especially on top of the refrig, but also down the sides if it doesn't show up. You may have to push the insulation aside to see everything.
Good luck
Bill

Thanks, Bill, for the quick response. I looked behind the upper and lower vents behind the fridge. I didn' see any wire leading to the bundle with a wire nut on the end. I may try to contact the TM plant to see if they can help.

A bit of an odd thing happened to me when installing mine. I found that the speaker wiring was one wire (instead of two) that had to be cut to create two speaker leads for the L and R. I was nervous about cutting it, but after looking at what wires were there, it had to be the only solution. Luckily, I was right.

fwiw, I am concerned about the radio as a parasitic load. So I remove the fuse during travel and storage. Left side, second from the bottom. I store it in one of the lower empty slots. I'm not sure it is necessary, but I sleep better at night.

I just wanted everybody to know that I got a response back from Trailmanor concerning the wiring for the stereo. This is what Ed with the service department wrote.
Good afternoon,
You should have a pair of speaker wires, a black (previous models may
have blue) 12 volt wire and a white ground wire along with the antenna
wire. If one of the wires is missing, you may want to open the lower
refrigerator vent on the outside and look for the wires going toward the
front to the radio. It may be possible that a wire came loose and fell
along side or behind the fridge.
If you cannot find the wire, please give me a call here at the factory
at 800 707-7061.
Thanks,
Ed
Hope this helps anybody else who might run into the same problem.

Radio installation
Like Firedog I have a 2330 and have purchased a alpine stereo. The question that I have is not so much about the wiring rather how do you install/secure the radio? I have not figured out how to get a tool and both arms in the area from the vent.

I have a 2005 TM 2720. I was able to get my hands from the back of the fridge to where the radio is, but it really is not necessary.
To summarize:
1. Remove blank cover over the hole where the radio belongs.
2. Attach radio mounting frame to hole in the wall above fridge.
3. Pull wires out. Mine were long enough to attach to the radio while the radio was sitting on top of the counter.
4. Test radio to verify it works correctly.
5. Snap radio into place.
The reason I had my hands in from the back was to add additional speaker wires to feed some outdoor speakers. If it weren't for the outdoor speakers I would never have opened the rear vent.
More details are in some other thread.
