I wasn't sure that the velcro would stick to the plastic. These channels are a physical attachment that i knew would work.

I did the plastic cover also...with velcro and the velcro sticks very very well to the plastic. I unfortunately did not think to buy plastic from a hardware store or just try a shower curtain....I went to JoAnn's fabrics and bought the heaviest clear plastic they had. I installed it myself...and I got a work out cause the plastic is really thick and heavy. It is crystal clear though and looks really nice. I messed up on one piece of velcro on the clear vinyl...and it is there slightly off centered..... f o r e v e r. On the other hand...I found I could reposition the velcro on the top edges of the folding walls.......figures. Next time I will buy a lighter weight at a more reasonable price.

For those folks using velcro, did you use velcro with the self-adhesive backing, or an applied glue? If the latter, what type of glue?

I used industrial strength Velcro with the peel off backing.

I also used the peel-off, self-sticking velcro. It has held very well and even if it didn't I could easily replace it. Heavy duty velcro is something that I carry all the time in the overhead cabinets above the couch.

Doug, or someone else with pictures of the shower mod....
Could you please either resize those pictures or someone take pictures that are considerably smaller...Unfortunately I am on dial up....and it would take an hour to look at those pics....

I too bought clear vinyl and used industrial sticky back velcro. It looked beautiful for a few weeks until the weather got extremely hot. We had the TM open in the yard and I went in one day and found that the velcro had all gotten soft and the vinyl came down. We have since bought a lightweight clear shower curtain and my husband used the smallest binder clips available and used tiny screws to mount them permanently. Now we attach the curtain when we set up the walls. 6 quick clips and it is all set. Works great!!

Mike -
You're right. At 1.5 MB each, they are truly larger than needed, and we sometimes forget about people on dial-up. I copied one of the pics onto my computer, and resized it using the Windows XP Resize PowerToy tool (set on Large). Is this any better for downloading? Doug, is it any worse for image quality?
