Default Shower mod.question

I have a question for those of you that have done the shower curtain mod.--
Do most of you leave the original nylon curtain in place towards the sink/front and just attach the new curtain to the folding walls??

It seems easy, but I can't tell if the wall panels overlap, as to prevent leakage to the walls?
Thanks!

We've found that a regular shower curtain very nicely covers both walls. You have to trim it a little vertically, and then some horizontally so that it's not at your feet. We attached it to the wall with large velcro dots, and they have held great so far for 6 months. We've been in temps down in the teens, but nothing real hot yet.

When you are packing up, you simply fold the walls as usual, and the curtain just folds with it. Very convenient, and WAY better than OEM. A regular polyester shower curtain covers the wall above the shower controls, and the open space you walk through to get into the tub.

I love the map too -- someone gave it to us. It certainly makes for longer showers....lots of dreaming.

I'd love to see more pics too......I love the idea. I can't stand the plastic curtain touching me while showering......I'm a big guy and I can use every inch of elbow room that I can get.

Default Installation follow-up shower curtain

Well...my daughter and I took down part of the factory nylon curtain today and used Velcro on hallway and back walls to attach the new shower curtain on the walls. Looks really nice and seems to be much more spacious!!

I did not remove the towel bar that is positioned on the lower part of the shower/tub combo-just cut a slit in the plastic for that. I did overdo the Velcro and fastened the back and lower side wall-found that out when we began to fold down the bathroom!! Ha.

Also installed the Oxygenator shower-will try this does next week.I left the original shower holder in place-I think it will hold the new one OK.

Thanks for the tips-will try to post pictures.

Here is another link to a previous thread dealing with the shower mod. Check posts 15 and 16 for photos or links to photos.

Yes I have seen that one just wanted to see how Dave's was done since he used velcro. It is good to see all the different methods. I will be doing this & was really wondering if Velcro would work since the Track used in the first one wouldn't work with a standard curtain like Dave used. Also I think Dave's way only covers the two folding walls & he uses the existing curtain track for the outside trailer wall & the entrance opening.

We found on our trips we have to put a thick towel over the edge to prevent water from getting onto floor between toilet which could cause problems over time. So I am looking for a more waterproof curtain to replace the existing one now.
