2004 gas prices
NORTHWESTERN ILLINOIS it is $1.99. for 87. It is the same price in southwestern WI too. I thought this would be a good topic to start with all the summer camping trips in the works for everyone.

Re:2004 gas prices
In Colorado, 87 Octane is "midrange" or "plus" because of the altitude..."regular" is 85 Octane. Here on the front range (e.g. Denver, Colo Spgs), 85 is running around $1.95 and 87 about 10 cents higher. However in the mountain communities where people go to vacation, it's quite a bit higher. Vail (along I70) is currently the highest with 85 Octane costing $2.25 and 87 Octane about $2.35. Nothing like California but still pricey because tow vehicle mileage really drops when towing in the mountains.

Re:2004 gas prices
Here in Mexico we have always paid more for gasoline. However, we are now catching up. Today the price of regular unleaded here in Monterrey is 2.01 per gallon with the 11.6 peso exchange rate. In the border cities, the price is adjusted to match those on the U.S. side.
I'll bet you that you're happy you're a Trailmanor owner not driving a 350 and towing 10,000 lbs or driving a 35 ft. Class A. The prices may change our Trailmanoring habits but I don't think it will stop us 8).

Re:2004 gas prices
Just went down to Alburg, Vermont on Tuesday and while there, picked-up some "cheap" gas @ $1.899/gal, or equivalent to about $2.62 in our Cdn dollars.
Gas in the Montreal area sells for about $0.96/litre or about $3.62 for a U.S. gallon. And we just traded up from a Ford Focus to a minivan in the hopes of buying a TM. Timing is everything!

Re:2004 gas prices
Something to consider is that when you factor in for inflation, in 1981 87 oct. sold for what would be $3.00/gal. today. Let's hope that we don't get to that level this year.

Re:2004 gas prices
In beautiful downtown Chester, CA 87 octane is $2.359 at the "cheap" gas stations, with Plus (89) and Premium (91) running 10 cents more respectively. >
Paid $2.109 in Chico, CA last Saturday (5/8) at the local Safeway store and took advantage of the 3 cent discount. :-\
