Default roof vents

Now that I have covers over my roof vents, will traveling with them open cause more dust and dirt to enter the camper? Kind of a chimney effect.

I have no first hand experience, but my guess would be yes. The AeroFlows will draw air out of the top of the TM, and that air has to be replaced from somewhere. If that "somewhere" is near pavement level (and what isn't near pavement level in a closed TM?), then the new air will be dusty.

As long as you are travelling on an Interstate, you might be OK. But if you go even a short distance on a dusty or unpaved back road, I bet it will be a mess.

Let us know what you find.

We always keep our vent covers closed when we are driving (are you referring to the transparent/translucent crank-up & down covers?).

When we had our cabover camper we once left the vent cover open, and it blew off on the freeway. We found it a ways back on the road, smashed pretty flat. It was pretty heavy aluminum, much more sturdy than those plastic ones on the TM.

I have the Aero Flow covers that go over the vents so you can leave them open when it rains. Thanks Bill; thats what I was thinking also.
