thanks Mike for the clarification. I forget the front roof does not protrude beyond the hitch.

So it looks like the 2017 would possibly open inside my garage but it would be very close....also if I had enough height I wouldn't be able to open the garage door with it up either....but at least it would park ok in there...

I'd be surprised if u can open a 2720 in your garage...a dream of all of us. Note swing hitch saves about half of the 3 foot hitch, so closer to 1 bad a half feet.
I agree with all towing is so much easier, easily outweighs minor hassle of setting up. The only time I miss it is when i pull into a rest stop and would like to grab a bite or use my own bathroom.
Being able to store cheaply and conveniently in my own garage makes it all worthwhile.
