Doug,

That Ace plastic catalog number corresponds to a 24-foot roll of plastic that is either 36" or 48" wide. But the distance from the top of my wall to a few inches below the top of the tub is ~60", so I'm a foot short. From your pics, it looks like the newer TM's have a higher tub on the wall side, so I presume you just used one 48" piece to make that run, right?

Shrimp,
Yes, I used the 4 ft width from the top of the wall down to the splash of the tub. I know it was a long roll of plastic, but it's crystal clear and I will have plenty to use when it gets dirty! That's another reason I used the channels instead of velcro. I can just throw the plastic away and cut a new piece.

After reading and reading this thread it was time to jump in and do my first mod. Oh yes, there will be more to come. I bought a heavy vinyl shower curtain at a big box store, $5.75, and some industrial strength Velcro rounds. It looks pretty good and there seems to be so much more room. I also hate having the shower curtain touching me. Maybe because I don't care for real small spaces. Taking our first long trip in mid August so looking forward to a "new" shower.

That should work just fine for you. We did something similar, although we found the velcro glue came loose in warm weather. If you put a screw in it, it should do the job. We also got rid of one curtain. Two was too many. We have made numerous modifications...we put removable shelves on the wardrobe and over the sink cabinet. Also made a wine glass rack under the cabinet. Used shower curtain rods (tension type) to hang our TV. It is off the counter and out of the way.
