Interesting. When I measured the tongue weight on mine (used two scales) it was 470 lbs with a half tank of fresh water and one 3.4 full propane tank. Empty fridge and no supplies.

This is what we got in NM in June 2012:

Finally put the nest on the CAT scales....
#3680 for the axle with the WDH in place
note: no water in TM, loaded with 2 week supply of can goods, bedding and two size 27 deep cycles. One full propane and the other a little over 3/4 full
Two solar panels, #34.

#7580 for the TV with the WDH in place.

note: 2 mtn bikes, 1 full propane bottle, grill, stuff to level the camper, all our clothing. 10x10 awning, 1 axe and 1 splitter both with 3 1/2 #heads. Tool box, about #40's, a third battery and two scrubjays.
1 58 qt cooler jammed with ice, about 30 #, 6 cold drinks and lunch makings.
GCWR = 11260

Posted this in the wrong thread the first time.
We no longer carry the 3rd deep cycle battery but have added a canoe so that weight is basically a wash.
So over all we are a little heavier then Bill....300# on the TM axle.
Maybe next trip out I'll take the time to way the tongue; without the WDH and the TM with it's normal loading the back of the Dodge drops 2 inches with the bed empty.

Weighing on the Cat scale is easy because they have segmented scales so that you can put each axle on a separate scale segment. Then just weigh 3 times:

1 - Pull up and weigh in your on the road condition (front, rear, and trailer axles on separate scale segments).
2 - Same thing, but with the WDH bars slacked (front, rear, and trailer axles on separate scale segments).
3 - Park the trailer in a parking spot, and then weigh just the Tow Vehicle (front and rear axles on separate scale segments).

(this can go faster if you go in, tell them you want 3 weighings, and pay them first) (the second and third are discounted quite a lot)

Notes:
- You want each of the axle weights in the first weighing to be less than the GAWR on the label plates. This weighing is obviously important, but the other 2 are necessary if you want to know when/how to adjust the WDH and loads.
- The tongue weight is the difference between the tow vehicle alone in weighing #3 and both axles of the Tow vehicle in weighing #2 with the hitch bars slacked.
- The total trailer weight is the tongue weight plus the trailer axle in weighing #2.
- Most of us are impressed by the rear axle weights we see in weighing #2.
- The occupants, ahem, weigh enough to be an important part of the calculations. Keep the family in approximately the same place for all 3 weighings.

(you really do have a place to use all these numbers)

GAWR - Gross Axle Weight Rating (on the driver's side door post)
GVWR - Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (on the driver's side door post)
GCWR - Gross Combined Weight Rating (too frequently, only in the owners' manual)
