I was in the TM messing around this morning and came up with an idea for the problem of daylight between the shells I have.
I pushed up on the back shell and it's solid. Not flimsy at all, its quite sturdy as is.
I measured and there's 3" of daylight at the center and 1" of daylight around 2 inches from the sidewalls s a 2" different from the domed front, and from the center outward.
Looking at the vinyl covers along the edges of the front shell that get velcro'd up outta the way when the TM is taken down for storage/towing, I was wondering why I couldn't have something similar made to either snap or Velcro over the seam between the shells.... Attach it to the front shell on top and wrap under the rear shell on bottom for while it's set up to camp...
Would beat the steel wool we had to put in the corners of our apache
