Kidkraz, it was the little velcro flap just to the left of the door knob as you face the door from outside. If I remember correctly, she stuck her whole arm straight up into the space where the flap was, then bent her elbow down to reach the knob. I couldn't do it. Next time we have the trailer out of the garage, I'll try to remember and get pictures.

We weren't locked out but were what-iffing in case we ever were.

Bill, I know which side your referring to. I have to open the camper up and will see if I can reach the lock for the door halves, if I can reach it, that will give me a better option, Hopefully I never need it.

I wouldn't have thought of that location, and I can't quite fit my hand through there - tried it. So I introduced my wife to the concept. Her hands are a bit smaller than mine. You can imagine she was not thrilled, but understood it was better than remaining locked out. So our next move was to order a couple keys from Amazon, $10 a pair, cut and delivered in four days, and stash one of them on the outside of the camper. Don't tell the bad guys, but I put them in a pill bottle in the back bumper's right-hand compartment. There are no gaps in that compartment that would let it fall out onto the road, so I think it will be good.

I like the pill bottle idea. Never would’ve thought of it. I’m guessing you have the same paddle style door lock I have?

We also got ourselves locked out of our 2007 2619. Luckily, kinda, we had the windows open so my husband launched me up after cutting the screen near the fridge, and I climbed on through and unlocked the door. We've replaced the screen and have learned to check as at home, 'keys secured before shutting door'.

At my house, I have a spare in a hidden location, cause I've done that. Twice I had to call friends who had a spare to come unlock the house for me. I've learned, but haven't come up with where I'll keep my spare.
