Default Corner latch

Our rear driver’s corner latch has come loose. It’s the upper portion with 2 screws. I was planning on reinstalling it with gorilla glue and two new screws of the same size just above the original location. Since I’m not sure what the screws are going into structurally in the shell, I wanted to ask if there is a better way to reattach it?
I appreciate any advice.
