Grey Water valve and pipe broken off!

Just got back from a weekend of camping. I noticed that there was a crack and water leaking from the grey water pipe at the first angled bend. Note, since I have the cassette toilet I do not have a black water pipe or valve. This is the fourth trip with the new trailer and it has not leaked before. I don't think it was road debris as I have mud flaps, but can't be sure about that. My intention was to repair with some sort of Magic Wrap type product when we got home. Took the trailer to the car wash this morning and the entire valve is gone

Called the Car Show, but they are backed up for two months at least and we have a Sept. 25th 11 day trip planned. Wow! I've not worked with PVC pipe before, but would like any ideas, at least for a temporary fix. I'll include the photos I sent to the dealer.

All the parts are generic and available at most rv dealers, cut back to a "good spot" and glue in the needed new parts. Can't tell about the joint at the tank, hopefully not damaged.

Any Home Depot, Lowes or similar store will have what you need except for the correct valve and connector piece for the hose. Don't forget the "Cleaner, and the Glue". Cut off as close to the break as possible and reassemble with the cleaner and then the glue. You may need to go to the RV Store for the correct opening stuff. Assembly is easy.

You'll do fine.

Fernco is your friend - at many HD's.

The valve is an RV item sold at RV places not HD and fernco will work but do it right with rv stuff,

Thanks, everyone. It looks a lot like photos of damage from tire blowouts. As far as I know, I did not run over any debris that might have hit the pipe. It strikes me that some flexibility would be good, so the Fernco couplings look promising. I will check a local RV place to see if I can come up with the parts and connect to old pipe with a Fernco.
Keep the ideas coming in! I have much to learn.

I went to our local RV dealer to look for parts and they can get my Trailmanor in next Monday to repair the grey water pipe and tank. I did discuss this with the service dept. at the Car Show. Just need 1 and 1/2 "ABS pipe and the valve itself. They feel it can be cut off right behind the old joint and come straight out (instead of angled) and be placed a little farther back from the edge of the trailer....hopefully with a little better protection. So we will see how this comes out. I don't really have a good place to work on this, I would be on the dirt with stickers, etc. So, I'm OK with the pros fixing it!

Mark and Claudia - you should look at a plumbing cage. IMHO road debris was the culprit, and mud flaps alone won't stop it all.

Look for the thread I believe ShrimpBurrito started. Lots of designs and ideas there.

I had a cage when we had the episode in Georgia and it help protect the plumbing. It still had some damage and went to the factory and they replaced the valves and piping. I think the whole assembly from the commode down cost $60. There labor was really reasonable. Best of luck.
