Front shell vertical adjustment math

OK it looks like my 2720SL front shell is sagging at the end above the hitch. I leveled the frame and my math shows the front of the front shell is 1 3/8" lower than the rear of the front shell when measuring from shell bottom to ground. The rear of the front shell top seals well on the rear shell top so that's why I'm guessing the front support arm needs to be lengthening and not shortening the rear support arm.

Measurements are about the same on both sides so referring to attached pic, I would lengthen support arm "C" on both sides by about 1 3/8" ???

I've read the instructions on how this is done but just want to make sure of what adjustment I need prior to dropping the bomb . . .

At each torsion bar location, I measure from as high as my tape will reach inside the upper shell torsion pocket to the bottom of the lower shell. This is where the factory told me to measure. I expect my front shell to be around 39.5 inch and the rear shell 39.0 inch.

Now when its up, some how you adjust the torsion with a hammer and block of wood

Art - I just measured like you said and I get your readings exactly at all four pockets on the front shell. I guess from the front most pocket to the shell front it's designed to have a 1 3/8" drop?

I was having problems closing the front shell and thought this measurement might have something to do with it . . . guess I'll keep looking - thanks!

Found the problem on why it's so difficult to latch the shells closed.

I guess the PO replaced the 4 rubber pads each shell rests on when closed but used a material that is 1" thick so I replaced them with some flat rubber that is 3/8" thick and the shells latch just fine!

That was much easier than adjusting the height of the shells

Hey Joe, where did you get the instructions i cant seem to find them. I have the same problem shell is sagging making it difficult to align the door. do you prop a jack under the bar with the 4 bolts then lift to desired height? thanks.

Hi guy's, i seem to have a problem with the seam being lower making it hard to velcro in place. also i have to push up on shell in order to latch door in place, i checked forum for a fix but have not run into a solution yet. i did read at torsion bar support leg there is 4 bolts, would i loosen these then raise higher? thanks in advance.
