Question how do you find a campsite ?

We are brand new to camping and thought that finding a spot would be as easy as finding a hotel. We thought there would be a "travel advisor" or priceline or campers.com page for campers like there are for hotels. NOT !! What a surprise !!!

We "joined" GoodSam and found that all it does is want to sell us stuff. We also joined RV Life and the "trip wizard " most certainly does NOT list all the campsites in an area nor does it allow us to filter for dates and features that we are looking for.

Anyone have a good web site where we won't spend hours looking up individual campsites ?

Welcome to the forum, if I can suggest add what version of TM you have in a signature area. That helps forum members answer questions on your specific model. In CA state campgrounds go fast, I want to say you can go out 6 months, but that may have changed. I've searched google for private camp grounds and just check on and off. There's a lot of new campers and not enough sites.

I use an app called Park Advisor. It works offline as well as online.

Good Sam reminds me of AARP...... All you do is pay them to advertise to you. I would never give either organization a dime. All they are is an advertising agency that has figured out how to derive income from the buyer as well as the seller.

Yell out “Marco!”, the campsite should yell back “Polo!”, and then you follow the sound of their voice. Repeat as necessary.
