Default Raising the sink level with the countertop?

I am not sure how the sink could be mounted flush with the counter above the fridge. In our 2006 and 2012 TM's, the sink is about 6-8 inches below the counter above the sink. That is one of my complaints about the TM. I am only 5' 4" and have a back ache after working at the sink.
