Default Scissor jacks to replace our stabilizers

We have a 1997 TM and it has the old-fashioned tent-trailer type stabilizer jacks. A couple of them have been bent and we need to replace them. We went to Camping World today and the only ones they had were these huge ones that weigh a ton and look like they're designed for a much bigger trailer.

Does anyone know what type of scissor jacks the TM factory uses on the newer models? I'd like to get some ordered asap.

Lightbulb Yes! I bought one.

Current TMs are built using Liftco "Le-Sure Lift" levelers, in model 20" OEM black. Here's their contact info:
Liftco, Inc. 24076 Reedy Drive• Elkhart, IN 46514 • Phone 800-454-3826 • 574-266-5551
The 24" height can also be used-- the 4 "arms" are slightly longer, but remain well underneath the trailer body. The mounting plate is the same, providing 4 holes for mounting self-tapping screws into into the frame bottom.

I don't know (off hand) the spacing or size of screws (IIRC, they're 1/4" or 5/16") to bolt into the frame. If your old mounting holes don't fit the Le-Sure, you can probably install it to a slightly different spot on the frame. Standard packaging is in pairs. In addition to ordering direct from Liftco, there's a couple of RV web sites which carry them, too.

I too have a couple bent jacks. Before I put the TM lift kit on my trailer. Is the 11" of height adjustment enough lift with the lift kit? thanks

Also I always assumed that the jacks were welded on. As soon as it gets light out I'm going to investigate.

I just put the 2" lift kit on and added the 15" tires. I didnt have any problems with the original LiftCo, I think, jacks, just added a couple extra leveling blocks.

Thanks. I found some for $45 each. Here's another type. I'm wondering if they'd do as the price is great.

I took the 2 bent ones off this AM. The other 2 are fine but I'll replace them all most likely or I could move one of the good ones and put them up front. I have some time as the TM won't get moved again until June.

Default Jacks vs Stabilizers

The jacks on my TrailManor are Part # C945000.B62 (5000# capacity). The ones you asked about with the URL are "stabilizers" like we had on our popup camper; our TrailManor jacks provide solid support and can be used to lift and level when necessary.

Thanks Virginia, I determined that. I found these and they look to be the right type. Not LeSure but a good deal.

The dealer replaced my stabilizers on my '97 with the BAL jacks after I put the TM in the ditch and broke them off. They BAL jacks worked just like the factory oem's on the later models. Note that the stabilizers are mounted to the perimeter of the floor while the jacks are mounted to the frame.

Default BAL's would be excellent,

but the stabilizers would not. Not for supporting the TM frame, they are for "stabilizing" it from movement (typically roll, not so much pitch) when you walk around.
