We are still packing tonight for a 2 month trip in the trailer and leaving in the morning. I have taken pictures of the repairs, however no "before" pictures. Larry, yours is not as bad as ours was. Shane, sorry, but yours is probably worse. I will post answers and pictures tomorrow morning.
Doug.

We are on the road. My DW was using her phone to post the lengthy instructions I was reciting to her on this repair when it was all lost. Anyone needing assistance with this before I can post please call me at 214-502-3384. I'll be happy to discuss. Doug

Default Door jam now fits

I followed Doug and Debbie's guidance on jacking the exterior wall at the door jam to get the exterior wall back to level with the floor. Set about four of their recommended screw & washer combinations, and sure enough when I released the jack the floor held the wall in place. The door wing piece now fits like factory new.

I will say that the jacking step is not for the faint of heart. And, in our 3124, the cabinetry along the wall limits how much movement one can achieve between the exterior wall and the floor. But right at the door jam, I have about three inches of clear wall. I took off the little black thread covered piece at the bottom of the jam so I could actually see the wood of the floor to guide my jacking effort. With a considerable force I was able to push the wall up so there was no wood showing, then I set the screws.

Thanks Debbie and Doug for the calls and your notes. Larry

Are you sure that its floor deflection?? From the pictures, It almost looks like the plastic molding rises where the torsion bars are, and the white of the floor continues straight inline with the bottom of the floor???. I have seen on my 2 Trailmanor that that molding is not always straight.

Default Vinyl strip alignment

Art, I originally was focused on the 'straightness' of that strip. But once I got into D&D's guide and actually took the little black fuzzy hair piece (keep the larger roaches out?) off at the bottom of my door jam, I could clearly see the 1/2" of wall deflection (upward) that was causing the door jam alignment issue. I was as sceptical as the next doubter till I tried it about four times. Literally. Only when I had the clear visual of the exposed wood in the floor edge as my guide did I grab the crank on my jack and force the floor up to close the gap.

Yes my vinyl strip is still not straight. But my door jam wing piece slips easily into place. That is where I am taking the victory on this one.
