I and my nephew have that version of soft starter, he's camped more last year and this year. He loves it, he's able to run several items with his a/c operating. He feels its the best money he's spent. Having surge protection and the soft start all in one saves him space and gives him peace of mind. They have an app that use can use with it to monitor the system. I'll be testing mine out onceI camp where we have power.

So I decided to get what I should have got in the first place, a SoftStartRV brand. They have a newer model out that is significantly smaller than what I have (see photo), and it fit perfectly next to the capacitor in the electrical box! The instructions were clear and a super easy install. Yes, for me it was worth the extra money to have a straight forward install.
