Default After-Market Stove Cover

Has anyone bought an after-market stove cover that lays flat? I don't really like the cover that comes with the TrailManor from the dealership. I've also been told those are pretty cheap and don't stay in place during transit.

Mine did not come with a cover. Is this a dealer freebie or did I just lose out?

It is an option...we got one. It is a bit flimsy but adequate.

Default after market stove cover

we shopped around for a cutting board to fit the stove top. works great for us. when closing down, we leave it on the stove with a small pillow on top, that keeps the grate from falling off during travel, which has happened once in a while.

Default Stovetop Cover

I made a cover with 3/4 inch oak plywood and some scrap 1 x 2, that I stained an oak color to match the cabinets. I notched the sides to fit the burner grate to help "anchor" it down. Since counter space is at a minimum, it's nice to have another flat, horizontal surface. I have a picture of it somehwere, if I can find it

We purchased one and have been "okay" with it's performance. It does keep things in place during travel and provides a workspace during food prep. It is a bit flimsey in the center so I wouldn't put anything weighty on it. It also provides a splash guard for the trailer wall during cooking, something the cutting board doesn't.

We ordered it as an option from the dealer. I am not sure if it was a "factory" option item or he just purchased one from the stove manufacturer.

I bought a really large size cutting board from Linen N Things and I use it on the top of the stove or over my double sink in my Outback Sydney camper. When we looked at TMs my husband sliced his hand open on the stove cover in the camper. Since he takes baby asprin daily and can bleed a lot I think we will try the cutting board or look for other options when we get a TM.
