Default copper rod (3/8") piercing

We have been traveling about a month with a 2720sl (2007) and a day ago as we were setting up the unit, I noticed a metal rod jutting out of a small hole about 8'' from the steps(towards the front of the unit) It appears to be copper, it has about 3' exposed, and is about 3/8". Surprised!!!
Is this some sort of grounding rod that has somehow worked its way through
the bottom of the floor?
We had traveled on clear roads during the daytime at reasonable speeds and no
road debris...
The unit sets up fine and while the rod appears loose, I don't want to touch anything until I know what the h is going on!
Any ideas?
Thanks

That sounds very odd -- can you post a picture? The only thing I can think of that looks like a copper rod anywhere on the TM (especially about that size) is a propane line, but it would be hollow on the end as it's a tube.

yes, it does sounds like a propane line. That area in front of the steps would be where the stove is. As long as the propane tanks are off at the source, your safe. I would look in the bottom cabinet under the stove and see if you can determine if anything is protruding up or down through the floor.

Default copper rod

Thanks for the responses.
The rod is solid...pointed at the end that is sticking out. My only idea was that perhaps trailmanor put in a solid copper grounding rod...but that seems not to be the case. The only other idea I had is that somehow we "threw up" a rod that was on the highway...because it is sort of like a spear, except that I noticed that the puncture of the floor went out and not in.
We have been using our gas without a problem, and I did inspect the undercarriage and inside of the cabinet.
Should I be leaning toward a freak accident and in that case I will try to pull the rod out.

I think I would pull it out, as I would think if it was intentionally placed there (which I think is very unlikely), it is no longer serving its intended purpose in its new position.

Default picture of infamous copper rod

Looking at it, I can see it would have been rather difficult for the rod to have worked its way out of the flooring!
(will try to include picture)

DH and I both think it looks like something that you "picked up" off the highway.

From the picture, I would agree. And if that's that case, I think there's alot of positive here: you could very well have saved someone's life by preventing that missile from going through someone's head.
