And many thanks to you all. My wife and i will be spending 2 nights at Mitchell Lake Campground, and taking the trailer to the factory for the day between. Last thing I wanted to do was get up early that day, close the camper, and drive 50 miles to the wrong destination.

I think we've got it now, and it is only about 10 miles from the campground.

Shane,

Thank you for clearing that up! I clearly see it on the map, now that you explain where it is at what Google labels as "upland colony," which is about 7 miles away from where Google places the address marker.

I guess you can also brag that you are smarter than Google!

Take care,

John

The Hutterites seem to have dozens of colonies throughout the area. I guess the named owner of the company lives in one of the other colonies, or that thee is some other reasonable explanation for what location Google calls the factory.

I found the location by looking at the buildings in Lori's video, then searching "Hutterite" in Google maps. I then proceeded to look at the satellite views of each colony indicated until I found the one that matched the buildings.

And then Shane told us exactly how to get there.

Smarter than Google... I like it! Maybe I’ll put that in my signature!

Who is the named owner of the company?

Easy to find. Some very dusty dirt roads.

Not to be disagreeable, but I think that is a hard way to get there. The muddy farm roads are hard enough to negotiate already.

Having done it recently, my choice is to follow Shane's direction in Post 6 above, which have worked for both of us.

From Lake Mitchell campground (which I highly recommend):
Take Route 37 (well paved) farther north, then go east on 243 (dirt), then north on 412 (dirt) to the factory. It avoids the long slog up 412th (dirt) and the short jog on 244th (dirt).

From Mitchell KOA:
Go east on Rte 38 a bit less than 1/2 mile
then north on 413th Ave (paved)
then west on 250th (paved) all the way to Rte 37
then north on Route 37 (well paved) to Rte 243 - watch for the sign!
Turn right (east) on 243 (dirt), then north on 412 (dirt) to the factory.

Jacob tells me to enter "Upland Colony School" into your GPS. This gets you to the proper destination, but may send you on miles of dirt/mud roads.

Like I said… “A place that can not be found, except by those who already know where it is.”
