Mud Flaps

I've dowe a search on this discussion board and haven't found much in "mud flaps."

Has anyone had experience with mud flaps on a F150?  I'm looking for a good quality mud flap at a reasonable cost for my Ford F150, 2001.  Our last 300 mile trip produced a lot of dirt on our TM (from a rainy day on I75).

I would appreciate learning what your experience has been with mud flaps.

Have you checked with a Ford dealer? Their 2003 Accessories list shows a set of "Splash guards" for the Ford F-150 for $36. I would think that the price for a 2001 truck would not be too different - and being made specifically for your truck, they should fit well.

I have a set of the F150 splash guards on my 2002 Ford. They fit well and do help to keep the dirt down. However, I covered the front of my 2002 TM with fresh oil from a construction zone even with the flaps installed. The only thing that might help under this type of condition is one of those all across the back bumper flaps.
