Towing with a jeep liberty?

i just purchased a 1990 Trailmanor 23, and I have A dodge dakota that will normally pull it, but this weekend I'm going to try to pull it with my 2003 Jeep Liberty automatic witha towing package. has anyone ever pulled with a Liberty. The tow rating on the jeep states 5,000 lbs.

Yes, we had a Jeep Liberty when we first bought the trailer. It tows well on flat land and hills. We never attempted any steep elevations. We wanted to go up into the mountains so we traded up for the Jeep Grand Cherokee - the longer wheel base makes towing feel more safe to me, or more stable... we also have a bit more power now. It really depends on what you will use it for....if it's mostly flat land, the Liberty should suit you well.
