Default Do you ever wax your TM?

I read how to clean Krystal Kote and if that is all we have to do to keep it looking new I am delighted. Just curious though if it needs to ever be waxed as well?

Just got done washing my 3124KS. Ugh! I'm always amazed at how small it seems with 5 raucous grand kids in it, but how large it grows when it's time to wash it!

About once a year, I apply Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer. The water beading is phenomenal, and it makes washing bugs and tree sap off of it much easier. This product takes MUCH less "elbow grease" than wax. You just spray it on, and wipe it off. Follow the instructions, and don't let it dry before you wipe it off.

This product, as well as car waxes, will last much longer on your TM if you wash it with car wash soap rather than dish soap.

+1 on the waxing of your TM. I use Nu Finish which is also very easy to put on and take off. Lasts about a year. I know when it's time, because the streaks where the shells close will start showing up. That's when I will clean the bag seals and and put on a new coat of wax.

I used to use nu finish too, but have gotten lazy, so think I will go Davlin's route-spray it on! Helps with the bugs and my Puritanical cleaning streak, but don't think it is really necessary.

Yes, Nu Finish because it's relatively inexpensive.

Meguiar's on the TV, though.
