Default Supports for window shields

Hey, TrailManor,

You have a fine product, overall, but the supports for the front and rear window shields--the fiberglass panels--are a joke. To adjust them you've given us a bolt and a wingnut, but the bolt turns as soon as you tighten the wingnut, and you never can get it tight enough to support the shield. And the whole assembly is too flimsy. Maybe you've improved this--our TM is a 2004 2720SL we bought used a couple of months ago. If not, hop to it, please.

My 2005 TM 2720 front and rear rock shields work flawlessly. The bolt never turns as I tighten the wing nut. I can open and close them with a single hand.

Default Wingnut

We've had that problem with with the wingnuts slipping our 2004 TM as well. Do a search on Wingnut and you'll see several ways to fix this.

Default Stone guard supports

My stone guards would not stay up also. I returned the trailer to Trailmanor for some work and they tryed to repair these. When I got the trailer back they still would not stay up. To fix the sliders I removed the bottom screws that are fashened on the trailer. Drill out the bumps that will not let you slide the arm off. (These bumps are not needed because the stone guard will not go up high enough to come off the end). Slide the arm off of the upper arm and remove it. Get a 10-24 x 1" carriage bolt (these bolts have a square under the head. Remove the old screw and file the hole square to fit the bolt. Use the wing nut from the old bolt and center punch the screw on the end of the threads to keep the wing nut from coming off going down the road. Re-assemble the arm and seal the screw holes going into the trailer. The bolts will not slip any more!

Also I marked the arm with lines so that when you raise the stone guard it wil be level.
