Default Curb side vs. road side

I think I know what y'all mean here, but would like clarification.

I come from the aircraft and racecar world and we refer to everything as left side or right side from the standpoint of the operator, sooooo what do you all consider "curb side" and "road side"? Thx.

Same here (aircraft maint.) But for campers curb side Is the right side as your driving. Almost 100 % of the time the side with the door.

Or in the UK where it is near side and off side. ( side closest to curb is near side).

I too am from the aviation world and the references are not too different than what you are used to. Curb side would be the passenger/copilot side or right side of the trailer, the street side is the pilots/road/left side of the trailer.
Now for the UK folks, this is where I'm not really sure, but I would think you can use the references I made in the first part of the paragraph.
As rmHaar stated the door side is the curbside, so using that as a reference point will work with the TM.
I would agree not all folks understand every reference in their conversations.

That is what I figured, just did not want to assume

Glad to see there are other aviation maintenance folks in this forum. Considering the engineering involved in this particular make, it is kind of a given I think. I am an Avionics weenie, so the mechanics are still a bit out of my wheelhouse, but I can appreciate it and love poking around to see how everything works.

Got local police headed this way as we speak to do the VIN inspection (out of state private party purchase) so I can get tags on it. 1 more step down. Later all!

To further complicate things if you call a TrailManor for parts, they refer to it as “door side” and “off-door side”...

We should call them up and ask how to get the roll and pitch adjusted so that the door lines up and closes properly..
