This TM has a lift tube factory-installed between the frame and the axle. These became standard in about 2006, so if you are looking at a unit from an earlier year, it will be lower by 2 1/2 inches unless a previous owner added a lift.

This TM has 15 inch tires. If I recall, the bigger tires adds a bit less than a half inch to the height.

My air conditioner is the Suburban (RV Products) Model 9202.

Your 2720 with A/C, 15" wheels, and lift kit is under 80"? If so, that is very encouraging and would probably work.

Can that measurement have anything to do with the height of the tongue jack when you measured?

The 2011 2720 I'm asking about is quite far so I haven't yet seen it in person. Any idea where his 82" measurement came from?

My '09 2619 with 14" tires is 80.5" overall height. The AC is 13.5" above the roof.
I have to pull the emergency release cord on the garage door to make it go up enough to clear the TM. When it the door releases from the opener, you can manually push it up a couple of inches.

Yes. Just barely under 80 inches, but definitely there.

The trailer is level as far as I know. However I should point out that on my unit, the air conditioner is directly over the wheels, so no matter what games you play with the tongue jack, the height at the air conditioner won't change.

I think you should ask him for the manufacturer and model number of the air conditioner. A difference of 2" sounds like the difference between a standard air conditioner and a low-profile unit. Mine is a 9202-876, which is a low profile model.

Sterman -

You don't really have to do that. Just set the opener to raise the door farther. Take a look at post #17 here.
