Now that I think about it ...I bet you could also make a screen Roman Shade...

The tapes for Roman shades are sold at Joann's etc.

I saw this advertisement yesterday in the newspaper when we came home from the TM rally. For $11.99 plus $4.97 shipping, I don't think I could build one any cheaper. It may be very easy to cut down to size for the TM door opening. It sounds like it just rolls up for storage:

Default Magnetic Bug Screen

What a find B and D! Something simple, yet effective. I'm going to order one tomorrow! Thanks.

I'm curious to hear how this works out, so I would appreciate hearing a report back with your experience.

Thanks!

I'd love a report as well - I'm wondering how it's attached to the doorway? It didn't really say in the description and I can't puzzle it out from the pictures.

I found another one that's more expensive

but I like the idea of the spring rod. I'm guessing that the other one has a velcro attachment.

"Hook and loop" attachments. They both have them, apparently, but the one B and D linked also has the tension rod, which I would think helps hold it up in a doorway.

But with the tension rod, you'd have to take the screen down whenever you wanted to close the whole door, which would probably be every day. With a velcro attachment, you could just leave it up when closing the door.

I ordered one today. No tax, no shipping. If it turns out to be junk I will be out $12.00. It does look promising. The thought of being able to leave up the screen and close and lock the door without removing anything sounds great. The advertizement says that the minimum width door that it will fit is 30 inches. Our TM is still in storage and I'm not sure what the width of the door is. Maybe the screen can be modified.

The screen that B and D gave the link for ( the one with the magnets at the center) I ordered for my kitchen door last summer.. It works GREAT! I was thinking that it would be pretty easy to modify it for the TM. Let us know how it goes with the mod and I will order another one. Well worth the money in my opinion . Liz
