Default Just completed maided voyage

We traveled from Texas to Virginia Beach and bought a 2006 2720SL and traveled back. If you like, take a look at my blog page to see how it went.

We have had some unique 1st trip experiences but all in all have no regrets and are looking forward to getting back on the road real soon. We love the TM. Before we bought, we did use a lot of the information on this forum .. thanks to everybody who posts here.

Rob - great trip report! Enjoyed reading it. Seems you had typical first-timer/old TM issues. Although a 2006 sounds new, I guess the tires were probably 5 years old - time for replacement!

We learned how to change a tire at a gas station in Raton, NM last fall. It was a learning curve but fortunately we had lots of flat clean space to work from. I knew pretty much what to do from reading posts on this forum.

Your header does not say if you are a trial member or site sponsor. If you haven't joined, this will be the best $12 you can spend on your TM!

Welcome to the TM family.

Great writeup. I hope you've had your ration of tire problems now and won't have any more. Sounds like the tires were old. Enjoy the trailer! See you in west Texas sometime.

Nice write up and pictures, you should have lots of wonderful trips seeing America especially if you take the scenic routes. Reader's Digest has a book,"The Most Scenic Drives in America" with 120 road trips. Natchez Trace is one of the trips and it was wonderful. You might want to review the Tire section, lots of people have had problems with the standard 14" tires. Looking forward to more posts in the future.
