Default Stabilizer change from J to socket

My 08 TM has the J - Type stabilizer , I do see there is a roll pin as if you can change out that end on the Jack/ stabilizer. My thought is does the stabilizer that uses a socket have a roll pin that holds it onto the jack as well ? Maybe those of us that have the J can just remove the roll pin and replace it with the socket type. any thoughts. and anyone have pics of the socket type as to how it is secured to the jack?

If you mean the type that uses a J shaped driver instead of a socket, I have 3 of the J type and 1 of the socket.
I just chuck a cheap L shaped allen wrench in my deWalt drill and run them up/down.
Then chuck a socket driver for the 4th one.

Works OK for me.

Yep, That is what I am using is an Allen wrench , but I think a socket would work much better.

Craig,

I have the hex-head screw on my Bal stabilizers. I had problems with the ones that came with the camper and just swapped them out with the Bal.
If you know the brand of stabilizer, you should be able to contact the company to see if you could just replace the type you have with the hex-head version?
