Storage underneath the TM

I often think it would be nice to have some storage underneath the TM, especially to carry things like wood blocks, wheel chocks, etc. Some of that stuff can fit in the bumper storage, but it is often hard to access and not all of it fits back there.

I just saw this advertised and thought it might be something that could be mounted under the TM.

Has anyone ever had similar thoughts? Any clever mounting ideas?

I actually have something very similar. I mounted a hitch receiver to my bumper and my son had his metal shop cut out the steel (?) plate so it works. I've also used the receiver for a bike rack. The tray was great when grill was dirty and chairs were wet after a crazy rainy weekend. Hope this helps.

I have a metal box behind the tire on the door side of the trailer.It can be open while the trailer is closed.A duck work person made it for me.

The Car Show (TM dealer in Colo) has an option they will mount to any TM - it is a box mounted behind the curb side wheel. It requires a lift kit. It is probably very similar to what you had fabricated. Provides very handy storage.

Go to HF and look at it before you buy it. It's OK but it's a lot flimsier than you may imagine.

I am going to have to get more details on that, as I'll be going through Denver next month with the TM. They seem to be a rather innovative dealer.....

I'd like to see a pic if anyone has one. I have a mental picture of a box hanging down below the right wheel of the camper, exposed to splash and road debris, as well as flying tire hunks in the event of a blowout?

bell - how is yours mounted?

To me, road splash, debris, and especially tire hunks are not a concern, as all that garbage is now just getting thrown on the underside of the TM. The storage box would actually make a nice mudflap.
