Default Looking to join the club

Hi all,

Nice site. Lots of info.

I've admired TMs for years. Back in '99 and '00 I lived near the Colorado Springs dealer and went by there often.

Now I'm married with two toddlers and keeping an eye out for a good used 2619 or 2720 to take advantage of the state parks and stuff here around Austin, TX, with an occasional trip to the Four Corners and Louisiana where the two sets of grandparents live.

We went and looked at a '91 I spotted on AustinCraigsList last weekend. Advertised as 'good condition,' but I think that was an exaggeration. It had been set up as a beachhouse for a couple of years, and had evidence of water damage in the floor (stains and soft spots). Also, seemed the upper walls were bowed out some. Among other things. We didn’t spend a lot of time looking at it, since we’re not looking for a long-term project. Don’t mind a little repair, but don’t want to tear it down and replace all the wood.

Oh, and it was advertised as a 2619, but badged as a ‘Model 26,’ which I think is closer to the 30’ models?

Seemed to me the asking price of $3500 was pretty high for the condition it’s in.

Anyway, thanks for all the info. I’ll be doing more research here, and will post up a thread if I find one to buy.
