Gray tank hose?

We bought a 1999 2619 in July. The original owner replaced the recirc toilet with a porta potty. TM did not come with a dump hose. Is the hose a standard RV purchase or is it TM specific?

It is standard. It is a 3" bayonet fitting (protruding pins on the TM half of the fitting, and matching slots on the hose half of the fitting). Just push on the hose half of the fitting so the pins fit into the slots, give it a small twist, and you are done. Available anywhere, including WalMart, etc.

You can also get a cap for the dump drain that has a garden hose fitting on it. Walmart , Amazon, etc. That way you don't have to mess with a regular 3" sewer hose at all..

Thx ka9nyn, that sounds pretty handy. I like the idea of just using a garden hose to drain gray water.

Hmmm. That would slow the process. And, part of the advantage of a large-volume drain process is that it helps flush particles out of the tank. Even with the drain strainer, there are food particles that enter the tank. A restricted flush with a garden hose may allow more of those to remain in the tank.

If using a garden hose attachment, I would still do an unrestricted empty every two or three uses. Don't want the garbage fermenting in the gray tank.
