Leaving the toilet charged when storing?
What is the feeling about charging the toilet when the TM is NOT in use? I think for short terms, it would be okay. However, for longer terms, it might not. I'm thinking of evaporation during hot weather? Obviously, you wouldn't leave the toilet charged in freezing weather, but in So. Calif that's not a problem.
Would it be better for the seals to keep it charged?

I think this is a question for Thetford. You might get a few anecdotal responses, along the lines of "here is what I did", but I doubt that anyone here has real knowledge. Please let us know what you find out.

Tim,
Thanks for the Thetford link. Other than winter storage, I didn't see any information relating to keeping the seals wet. I prefer to clean and drain the toilet between camping trips. And so far we have not had any problem with the seal or valve.

I didn't realize they made a drain lubricant. I'll try that the next time I'm at Camping World.

I rinsed and cleaned my all year till the last trip then.... the STINK came! I guess the right conditions existed.
After fighting the STINK for a few days I now leave it charged. Thetford also has a new Mint smelling chemical that does not have that chemical smell.
My dealers theory keeps things lubed and it gets a good mix going down the road for any solids that may me hanging around in there somewhere.
