Default Electric Jack

The electricty to my electric jack is intermittent. There was electricity to the jack and adjacent light untill I started to close the front shell. This has happened a few times before which leads me to believe it is a loose wire somewhere. Any ideas?

Quite possibly the problem is in the ground side of the circuit. The jack makes the electrical ground connection to the baseplate, but if there is a layer of paint between the jack and the frame, that can cause the problem you see, since the frame flexes a bit as you close. Even more likely is an intermittent ground connection between the swing tongue and the trailer frame, if you have a swing tongue. If so, this will require a wire jumper across the hinge. You didn't mention what model TM you have, and whether it has a swing tongue - why don't you add it to your signature? This would also help us determine where the wire is routed to get to your jack,

Thanks for the response. I do have a swing hitch, on a 3326King. I'll check the ground side next time I get to the TM.
