Some more data. On etrailer's website they say the shipping weight for my swaypro is 96 pounds. I may have had about 30-40 pounds of stuff in the bed of the truck that was not there when weighed before. Interestingly, the truck was weighed on different CAT scales. So, if we guess that the actual weight of the hitch that went on the trailer and the truck is about 75 pounds, we get back very close to the hitch weight measured by TM.
2940 + 30 + 75 = 3045

3660 - 3045 = 615 (tongue weight?) Is this the right math?
