Flag vs. No Flag?

How come some users have little American Flags by their name and others don't? ???

I am curious, and I WANT A FLAG!!! >

Larry:

Go to the member map and stick your pin in the map. I think that gets you a flag.

I've got the map but my pin didn't "stick". I tried a couple of time. Any suggestions?

When you place your pin, fill out all of the info to the right and then it will save the pin where you put it...at least that was what seemed to work for me.

I just placed my pin but I ended up crowding Larry (sorry neighbor). Now I have a neat flag too.

I just stuck my pin in SC and it stayed, figure that.
