Default Garage Door Height Clearance

Hello,
We are looking to purchase a 2020 TM 2518. The TM site says the closed height is 82". That seems pretty tall for a standard garage door opening. We have a 7' door, so it would be pretty tight. Does anyone have experience with this? Or any clarity? Thanks!

I had a problem with my 2005 2720 that I bought in 2015 to fit in my garage because of the garage door opener so it won't fit so check that----Ken

Something like a wall mount opener may solve that clearance problem:

In order to provide clearance for the trailer, I release my garage door from the opener's chain, push it open to its furthest, and prop it there with a piece of wood.

Tim -

Unless you have a weird situation, there is no need to do this. Instead, you can easily make a permanent adjustment to your garage door height, and never deal with the 2X4 again.

Have you reviewed post #17 in my second link above?

Thanks, Bill. Somehow I missed that post of yours 13 years ago. I gained over 3 inches with one turn of the screw. Big payoff for the smallest amount of work in my life.
