Default Mission Tejas SP Weches Tx(near Crockett)

Although we aren't big on SP's this is the best we have been in. Mission Tejas is about 20 miles east of Crockett Tx on highway 21. This is a small park, lists 20 sites but the main CG is actually 15. 3 full hook ups, 12 with elec and water. 2 tent sites with elec and water near the picnic area and 3 host/overflow sites with full hookups at the entrance. Nice hiking trail system with a stocked pond. Future plans are mtn biking trails and horse trails. Best back in sites are 12 thru 15 although 12 and 13 are right on top of each other. 5 pull through sites and 4 pull off. Single shower instead of multiple but more privacy then usual for a TX SP. Site usage areas are large with both a fire ring and charcoal grill. Currently $13 per nite( cheaper then average USFS with Golden age), for elec/water plus $2/per person/per day entrance fee unless you have TX parks pass which gets you in free. Fire wood is also provided at no charge but that may change. The fire wood comes from a local sawmill and donations are accepted at the park office to offset delivery costs.

Another nice one I haven't been to in a while. Glad it's still there, some of the smaller parks have been shed from the state park system.
