Default Decals/Graphics Removal

Anyone have any tips and tricks for removing crusty hardened old decals/graphics from their TM? Thanks!

I have not done it, but in many cases of label or tag removal, the secret is heat, to soften the adhesive. Start with a hair dryer, and if needed move to a heat gun - being careful, of course, not to melt or scorch the underlying paint..The problem, of course is that the paint under the decal will be a different color from the paint that has been exposed to sun and weather .

There is a ton of stuff on line if you do a Google search for "rv graphics removal".

You could always try a big round eraser, the kind they use in auto body shops. It mounts on a drill. I have used them myself on personal projects. They work pretty darn good, but how good on crusty decals? They work great on removing pinstripping on hotrods. I think the ones I use are made by 3M. Look at Orielly's auto part part # E4000S
