Default Window Coverings

Janie (my wife) and I spent the day cleaning the 3023 that we now own. We spent quite a bit of time taking the curtains down. It seems that each side has 3 screws that must be removed (one at the top and bottom of the curtain and one for the valence), making a total of six screws per window. My first question is this. With the curtains cleaned, do I need to put the top and bottom screws back in (no choice concerning the valance). Second question, if I want to change the color of the drapes (by dying) is there something I should know? Thanks in advance for individuals replying.

Default Cleaning curtains

Believe I have read in the form to DRY CLEAN curtains only! Otherwise they may shrink and not hang up the same. Check clean curtains in the search mode. Good luck!

On my 1996 TM , I tried dyeing them, but they didn't come out the way I wanted so I ended up ordering the new tabs from Ed at TM and making new ones, I even recovered the tops, just make sure you don't put them in the dryer, I hand washed mine and they still shrank some.

We were told to rehang the curtains slightly damp so they will not shrink. THe top and bottom rods keep them un-shrunk (LOL). Queeniereads aka Judi

After buying our TM, I could see how dirty the curtains were. Since I have dust mite allergies, I decided to clean them in hot water. Just let them dry on a drying rack and they were fine. I even washed the bed covers in hot water and let them air dry. They were a bit hard to get back on but were perfectly fine. Best of luck.
